So CES isn’t the easiest place to get great pictures, with the crowds and crazy lights all over, but I liked how this one came out. I think the contrast between the camera and the people in the background really help make it interesting.
Sub-Mariner Home on Flickr.

The underwater housing for the NEX-7 that Sony was showing at CES was built like a brick house. And I guess if I was to bring my camera under water it would need to be build that solid. It was also really nice how all the controls could be manipulated while inside the housing.
My Reflections of CES on Flickr.

All the big booths at CES had lots of lights and things going on, but the Audi booth had a lower ceiling and nothing but bright white lights that drew you in. Once I was in and I saw the mirror on the ceiling, I knew I had to shoot myself looking straight up. And I think it really worked, this was one of the best booths at pulling you in and looking around.
LED Matrix on Flickr.

I don’t even remember what booth at CES had this matrix of purple LEDs. But I really like how it looked, and really liked the photo that I got from it. I do feel bad for the person they made solder all the contact points.
Inclined to go Down With Sherri on Flickr.

So I’ve done the photo looking up in an elevator, but this was the inclinator at the Luxor in Las Vegas. Even when sober, this “elevator” just doesn’t feel right, with the sideways force on you. And it also feels like a crappy roller coster as it bounces going up it’s rails.
New York Palms on Flickr.

By far my favorite hotel in Las Vegas is New York, New York. Just about all the hotels look great inside, but the skyline at New York, New York really makes the building stand out. I knew I wanted a good night shot of it, and I knew I needed to have some palm trees in the frame to give it that desert feel.
A Photographer on Flickr.

So I think <a href=”http://www.flickr.com/photos/sdamlo/”Sherri can now call herself a photographer. You know you are a photographer when you go into the M&M’s store and take photos of the candy instead of picking out stuff to eat. Also I have started to learn how to improve skin in Lightroom.

Las Vegas may be a neon wonderland, but a lot of stuff is moving to digital displays. But bulbs are easier to replace than broken displays. I just liked the solid colors behind the guy as he reached in to fix it. Reminds me of Mario’s proctologist.
The Rain Man Descent on Flickr.

So I don’t think this is the correct casino, and we are leaving the casino, not entering it. But all that aside I still like the shot, and it reminded me of Rain Man. Also I did maintain the correct ratio for the original Rain Man film.
Also I will point out that I can’t remember if this was going up or down because we rode them a few times to get the picture.
The Magic of Neon on Flickr.

We neer did make it down to Old Vegas to see the new Fremont Street Experience and some of the classic neon signs. This was taken in the lower level of the MGM, but it was nice all the neon signs stacked up against each other.
